SC_422794_1Oh... [113625|Reisman] and [113624|Bulimin]. They're good boys... I know them. They are the closest brothers in the village. They used to own a dog call Buffy, but since the dog died, [113625|Reisman] has grown reclusive. Aside from work, he spends most of his time locked away inside his house.\nHas something happened to them?
SC_422794_2[113625|Reisman] says his brother [113624|Bulimin] attacked him and took his sword!
SC_422794_3That's preposterous. I rarely recall seeing [113624|Bulimin] get angry, let alone doing something as terrible as attacking another person.\n\nAfter Buffy died, [113624|Bulimin] looked everywhere for a dog that looked like Buffy to lift his brother's ([113625|Reisman's]) dark mood. How could someone who loves his brother so much attack him and steal his sword?
SC_422794_4That's right! [113624|Bulimin] said he was going to go and sort out a bandit, and didn't see [113625|Reisman]...
SC_422794_5Are you saying that [113624|Bulimin] saw a bandit and didn't attack [113625|Reisman], while [113625|Reisman] says [113624|Bulimin] attacked him?\n\nWell!... Two people in the same place at the same time who saw two completely different things... That's so weird...but it has jogged my memory...
SC_422795What happened in this village?
SC_422795_1I remember when I was very small creeping into the forest to play. One time I stumbled across a sword stuck inside a mound. At the time I was so happy to find something precious and I took it home and hid it under my bed. But after that I started hearing a terrible voice that wanted me to return the sword to him... \n\nI didn't dare tell any grownups. If they found out I had been playing in the forbidden forest, they would have taught me a serious lesson. Growing more and more anxious, I grabbed my chance and buried the sword in the forest. It's weird- afterwards I never heard that strange voice again.
SC_422795_2(It sounds a lot like what happened to [113625|Reisman]...)
SC_422795_3It seems I'm not the only one this has happened to. Several decades later I heard that another one had brought back a sword from the forest. Weird stuff happened then too, including a run in with ghosts! People started attacking the sword finder out of the blue, and then denied ever attacking him. Scared out of his wits, he refused to go near the forest or the sword... so he asked the intrepid [113626|Jaber] to take the sword back for him.
SC_422798[113628|William], you okay?
SC_422798_1I just realized I'm useless like this. The sorrow is overwhelming.\n\nThe "Paladin's Sword" belonged to my Master [113629|Androth]. He used it to slay demons everywhere we went. I helped him polish and maintain the sword. The Master appreciated my work. \n\nI was a war orphan. The Master took me in and taught me how to fight, so I could achieve success in the army. But I have failed the Master's trust...
SC_422798_2Why do you say that you have failed the Master's trust?
SC_422798_3I once pledged to follow Master [113629|Androth] all my life, but when he fell out with King Kalume and resigned, I couldn't decide whether to remain in the King's army or follow my Master...\n\nMaster saw my dilemma, but only asked me to stay here and look after the sword. He didn't force me to leave the King's army...but...but....he left alone and ran into some hateful demons who killed him...\n\nI regret not following my Master. I could have carried the sword, and fought side by side with Master. Perhaps I could have saved him...
SC_422798_4It's not your fault, [113628|William]...
SC_422798_5After his death, I remained here to look after the sword. We hoped that the Master's soul might return and collect his beloved sword, but...a demon army attacked us, led by the newly risen Bloodlord. They said that he coveted the sword, so I buried it in the earth.\n\nThe Bloodlord annihilated us, but thankfully the sword was not taken. It was stroke of good luck in the midst of disaster!\n\nSo we stayed here, guarding the sword, waiting for the day the Master will return and collect his sword...
SC_42279910 [<S>206155|White Glory] needed!
SC_422799_1[<S>206155|White Glory]... I'm not unfamiliar with them. Did [113628|William] ask you to come?
SC_422799_2So many years have passed...and [113628|William] still stands guard. He won't leave...
SC_422799_3...If you get a chance, try to persuade [113628|William]!
SC_422799_4The person he is waiting for no longer needs him to wait...
SC_422802May I borrow [113709|Buffy II]?
SC_422802_1[113709|Buffy II] has run off somewhere. Wait a bit and he'll be back.
SC_422802_2[113709|Buffy II] sniffs at the ground...
SC_422802_3Looks like [113709|Buffy II] has found something!
SC_422802_4[113709|Buffy II] is barking at the weird stone tablet up ahead!
SC_422803I followed [113624|Bulimin's] dog here. I wonder what's so special about that stone tablet.
SC_422803_1Oh...[113624|Buliman's] cutie pie [113709|Buffy II] brought you here! I wondered what kind of relation there was between you and that strange young lady.\n\nThe reason I say that is that the young lady has spent hours studying this stone tablet, turning it this way and that. It's so bizarre!
SC_422803_2Do you know where that girl has gone?
SC_422803_3I don't know where she's got to. In fact I want to ask her something myself...Ah! I'm sorry. We haven't been introduced. I am an assistant to the sorceress, Madame Fanchi, the owner of this house. No one in the village really believes she is a true sorceress, but she is passionate about magic. Her room is full of strange magical items. It's my job to look after these items and also assist Madame Fanchi in her studies.\n\nBut after that girl's visit I noticed the wooden dolly next to the stone tablet has disappeared! I don't have any proof that she took it, but right now there is no other explanation. I want to ask her about it. Maybe she knows something...
SC_422803_4Looks like we're all looking for that girl...
